Mrs. Shirley Ann Williams Corbin, age 81, of New Albany, Indiana, entered into rest Friday morning, April 10, 2020, at Rolling Hill Nursing Home in New Albany, Indiana.
She was born August 31, 1938, in Oak Grove, Indiana, a daughter of the late Richard Eugene and Rosie Goodpastor Williams.
Shirley was of the Baptist faith and she enjoyed listening to gospel music, horses, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Mae Godfrey Williams; two brothers, Charles Williams and Tommy Williams; one sister, Betty Williams Hicks; two half brothers, William Williams and Terry Williams; one half sister, Judy Williams Barker; and her paternal grandparents, Milton and Pearl Jackson Williams.
Shirley is survived by two sons, Wesley Corbin of Greenburg, Indiana, and Jimmy Corbin of New Castle, Indiana; one brother, Alvin Williams of Morehead; and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary Williams Conn and Paul of Olive Hill, Carol Williams Martt of Lexington, and Janet Williams Knipp and Jackie of Morehead. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, a private graveside service will be held Monday, April 13, 2020, at the Conn Cemetery in Enterprise, with Brother Tippy Price officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, is caring for all arrangements for Mrs. Shirley Ann Williams Corbin.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
