Perry Lee Tussey
January 7, 1967 - April 2, 2020
Perry Lee Tussey, age 53, passed away on April 2, 2020 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah after an extended illness. Perry was born 7 January 1967, the son of Jewel Tussey. The Grayson Kentucky native, lived most of his life in his hometown of Grayson. Working at the local full-service gas station in a small town, Perry knew everyone, and everyone knew him. He loved his life in a small town where neighbors still cared for and looked after each other. Later in life, he met the love of his life, Debra McGuire and the two married. They had a brief, but wonderful, ten years together as she was taken from him too soon. Shortly after Debra's passing, Perry's health also declined, and he moved to Hinesville GA to be nearer to his sister. Even with his failing health, he held onto two of his favorite pass times; watching Wildcat basketball and fishing. Perry was a man you could count on and loved by all who knew him. He will be sorely missed. Perry is preceded in death by his mother Jewel Tussey; his grandparents Homer and Brady Tussey; his beloved wife, Debra; and four brothers Bill, Jim, Carl, and Ronnie Tussey.
Perry leaves behind a loving family that includes his sister, Elizabeth (Robert) Miller both of Hinesville; brother, Jerry Tussey of Jackson KY, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and hundreds of friends and neighbors in Grayson.
In light of the current pandemic, the family plans to hold a memorial service to honor Perry in his beloved hometown of Grayson later this year.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
