Norman Greenville Felty
October 22, 1937 - October 24, 2019
Norman Greenville Felty, 82, of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2019 at his residence.
Norman was born October 22, 1937 in Greenup County, KY, a son of the late Greenville and Ruby Harlow Felty. Norman served his country in the U.S. Army, was a member of Crane Creek Missionary Church where he served as clerk, Sunday School Superintendent and Deacon. He worked for Flames and Things as a HVAC repairman, served the Grayson area on Grayson Fire department for 28 years, serving as Chief for 8 years, and a KY Colonel.
Norman was preceded in death by two brothers, James Leslie Felty and Boyd Felty.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis Judy Horton Felty, two sons, James Norman Felty and Steven Gregory (Lisa) Felty, both of Grayson; two daughters, Connie Sue (Billy Justus) Gillum of Grayson and Pamela Jean (Joe) Evans of Oldtown; four sisters, Lula Belle Felty of Grayson, Dorothy (Larry) Moore of Richmond, IN, Judy (Roger) Whitehead of Grayson and Susie (Carl Wayne) Fraley of Grayson; three brothers, Carl (Linda) Felty of Westwood, Randy (Debby) Felty and Ronnie (Karen) Felty, both of Grayson; five grandchildren, Charity (Corey) Johnson, Lauren (Eli) Carr, Gregory Chase Felty, Amanda Justus and Autum (Austin) Marcum; one great-grandchild, Houston William Marcum, and expecting four more at this time; a special thanks to the caregivers, Ann Duncan and Tammy Jenkins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Community Hospice and VA Medical Center.
Funeral services are Monday, October 28, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. John Lybrook and Glenn Stephenson, ministers. Burial is in the East Carter County Memory Gardens with military rites. Visitation was Sunday 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. Monday.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
