Marvin Pete Davis

Marvin "Pete" Davis, age 79, of U.S. 60 West, Olive Hill, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. Born May 11, 1938, in Carter County, he was a son of the late Roy J. and Essie Eden Davis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Marvin Roy Davis. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Loretta Wagoner Davis, whom he married May 9, 1958; two sons, Rick (Darlene) Davis of Lewis County, and Gary (Sheila) Davis of Carter County; five grandchildren, Kendall Davis, Dalton Davis, Joey Davis, Marissa Davis, and Felicia Davis; and two great grandchildren, Elijah Ammon Davis and Bryleigh Sueann Davis. Other survivors include one brother, Drexal Davis; one sister, Cathy Mabry, both of Mansfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Pete was a retired truck driver and a member of Flat Fork Church of God. He enjoyed trading, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Steve Madden officiating. Burial will follow in Bowen Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kendall Davis, Dalton Davis, Joey Davis, Marissa Davis, Felicia Davis, Elijah Davis, Bryleigh Davis, and David Brown. Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:

January - May

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
