Lenora Oakley Catron
January 22, 1935 - April 25, 2020
Mrs. Lenora Oakley Catron, age 85, of Olive Hill, entered into rest Saturday morning, April 25, 2020, at Woodland Oaks Health Care Center in Ashland.
She was born January 22, 1935, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Herman and Dorothy Hall Oakley.
Lenora was of the Baptist faith and attended the Upper Tygart Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, gardening, working in her flowers and phone conversations. Lenora babysat for many years to children who still call her mamaw.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Elbert Catron; two daughters, Nancy Bryant and Vicky Williams; and three brothers, Jimmy Oakley, Simpson Oakley, and William Oakley.
Lenora is survived by one son, Jeff Catron (Robin) of Morehead; three daughters, Jennifer O'Daniel (Paul), Cathy Johnson (Mark) of Olive Hill, Kristy Fannin (Jeffrey) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Johnnie Carroll (Danny) of Olive Hill; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sons-in-law, Don Williams and David Bryant, both of Olive Hill; two brothers, Wilford Oakley (Shirley) of Olive Hill, and Louie Oakley (Lucille) of McDonald, Ohio; three sisters, Sarah Carver and Arlene Porter (Glennis), all of Mansfield, Ohio, and Linda Carter (Austin) of Olive Hill. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, a private graveside service will be held at the Manning Chapel Cemetery in Olive Hill, with her family officiating.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
