Hattie Bear
Hattie Pauline Johnson Bear, 71, of Pine Lilly Court, Navarre, Florida, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016, at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Born Nov. 1, 1944, in Olive Hill, she was a daughter of the late Robert Phillip "Bob" Johnson and Lizzie Holbrook Johnson. Hattie is survived by two loving daughters, Tammy Pauline (Henry) Isaacs of Navarre, Florida, and Bridgett Kay Holbrook of Morehead; five beloved grandchildren, Henry Robert Isaacs, Saúl Granados Isaacs, Candace Nicole Isaacs, Kendra Jade Holbrook, and Timothy Grant Holbrook; three sisters, Ella L. Bowling of Morehead, Dixie Patton and Diane Barker, both of Mansfield, Ohio; close friends, Jo Ann Isaacs and Katherine Reband and extended family and friends. Hattie retired from Morehead State University as a custodial supervisor in 2007. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother who enjoyed being involved in the activities of her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed strawberry sundaes, QVC, quilting, Christmas time, and traveling with family and friends, especially her trips to New Orleans to listen to jazz music. One of her favorite things she enjoyed was her beloved bird Keiko. Hattie had lived most her life on Mauk Ridge (Route 504). Hattie and Ova (Yogi) Bear built and owned Bear Grocery on Bear Ridge for several years. Hattie was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Olive Hill. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at 2p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Holbrook Cemetery in Elliott County. Pallbearers will be Henry Isaacs, Robert Isaacs, Saúl Granados Isaacs, Timothy Grant Holbrook, Julio Blair and Anthony Dehart. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
