Donald Wade Burton

Donald Wade "Donnie" Burton, 58, of Lexington went to be with his Lord Thursday September 5, 2019 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington. Donnie was born March 12, 1961 in Dayton, OH a son of the late Curtis Franklin, Sr. and Debbie Colley Burton. In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by the love of his life, Glenna Gail Hall Burton. Donnie was an Ironworker, and was known for his strong work ethic, always providing for his family. Donnie's family was his life's compassion. Donnie loved to listen to music, traveling to his favorite place to visit California and caring for his dogs, Chica and Chippy. The last eleven years of his life was dedicated to spending time with his grandsons, Steven and Mason.
Donnie is survived by a daughter, Crystal Gail (Oscar) Salomon of Lexington; four step-sons, Charles Frank (Brenda) Sexton, Carl Edward (Shelia) Sexton, Johnathan Lebron Sexton all of Grayson and Ira Lee Sexton of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Mason, Steven, Kimberly, Tabatha, Rachel, Justin, and Brandon; thirteen great-grandchildren, Kelsie, Skylar, Jaxon, Harley, Brayden, Logan, Lilly, Leland, Noah, Ryker, Johnathan, Abigail and Nevaeh; two sisters, Brenda (Albert) Swanagan of Grayson, and Linda (Mike Seagraves) Colley of Greenup; four brothers, Curtis Franklin (Judy) Burton, Jr. of Hitchins, Jim (Regina Shepherd) Burton of Grayson, Troy Burton of Paris, KY and Bruce (Debbie) Burton of Columbus, OH; and several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family who all mourn his passing. Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday September 10th, 2019 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Joed Rice officiating. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Monday and after 9 am Tuesday until the service hour all at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.malonefuneralhome.com

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
