Bonnie Hicks Bond
August 7, 1933 - April 25, 2020
Mrs. Bonnie Hicks Bond, age 86, of Mansfield, Ohio, formerly Olive Hill, passed away Sunday morning, April 26, 2020, at the Galion Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 7, 1933, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Everett and Gertie P'Simer Hicks.
Bonnie loved sewing, baking, reading, and spending time with her family, friends and little children, especially her children and grandchildren. She was loved by all who her knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Dalton Bond; one son, Gary Bond; four brothers, J.R., Gene, Cleo and Ivan Hicks; three sisters, Thelma King, Sue Bond and Wanda Kegley; and one son in-law, Jimmy Gee.
Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Karen Edwards (Donnie) of Mansfield, Ohio, and Michelle Gee of Shelby, Ohio; five grandchildren, James Gee Jr. "Jamie", Misty Edwards (Larry Collins), Gary Christopher Bond (Chevy), Sequoia Bond and Heather Hoskins (Jason); two great grandchildren, Cyrus and Ceanna Collins; two brothers, Gary Hicks (Debbie) and Dale Hicks (Connie), all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two sisters, Sharon Cutright of Mansfield, Ohio, and Rita Bond (Joe E.) of Olive Hill; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Bond Ewers of Johnsville, Ohio; two brothers-in-law Kenneth Bond of Olive Hill and David Bond (Diana) of Grayson; and one sister-in-law, Jewell Hicks of Olive Hill; two nephews and nieces whom she thought of as her own grandchildren, C.E. and B.J. Bond, Dianne Dyer and Dana Burton. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Andy Beshear, a private graveside service will be held at the Garvin Ridge Cemetery with Brother J.C. Bond officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, is caring for all arrangements for Mrs. Bonnie Hicks Bond.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
