Mr. William "Billy Ray" Stamper, age 63, of Lawton, passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 7, 2016, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland.
He was born Aug. 29, 1953, in Carter County, a son of the late Roy Estill and Ina Cline Stamper.
Billy Ray was of the Christian faith and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from JRB trucking and worked at Ruth Brothers as a welder. Billy Ray enjoyed spending time with his grand babies, watching old movies and selling Wild Bills Fireworks.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Ornella "Kay" Evans Stamper, whom passed away Nov. 7, 2015.
Billy Ray leaves behind his beloved babies, Brian, Angie, Kevin, Eli, Kurtis, and Turner. He is also survived by his beloved brother and friend, Donnie Stamper (Tracey) of Lawton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill, with Brother Randy Binion officiating. Burial will follow in the Loomis Cemetery on State Route 955 in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home, 145 Gearhart Street, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
