Mr. William Thomas "Bill" Kiser, age 78, of Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday evening, June 7, 2017, at Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Grayson.
He was born July 19, 1938, in Carter County, a son of the late Vernon and Pauline Scott Kiser.
Bill worked for J.D. Kiser Incorporated as a bookkeeper and he enjoyed watching NASCAR, Cincinnati Reds, and UK Basketball on T.V.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Kiser Conn.
Bill is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Tammy Kiser of Catlettsburg; two daughters and one son-in-law, Michelle Kiser Griffey and Mary Ann and Steve Brown, all of Olive Hill; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Desiree Kiser of Charleston, West Virginia; and the mother of his children, Barbara Sue Kiser of Olive Hill. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Clyde Holbrook and Brother Ed Porter officiating. Burial followed in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
James Mabry, Colten Mabry, Josh Rice, Todd Minor, Zeb Brown, Ralph Lowe, Jamie Conn and Steven Brown served as pallbearers.
