Wendell's Story

Mr. Wendell Deck "Butch" Wagoner, age 55, of Walnut Grove Ridge in Olive Hill, passed away Saturday morning, June 18, 2016, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 23, 1960, in Boyd County, a son of Wilma Rayburn Wagoner of Olive Hill, and the late Wilbur Deck Wagoner.
Butch was a retired truck driver and enjoyed trading and shooting guns, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Wanda Sue Kilgore Wagoner of Olive Hill; one son, Timothy Kilgore of Wheelersburg, Ohio; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Sue and Shawn Kay of Lexington; two grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Lisa Wagoner of Olive Hill; and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Vernon Kilgore, Shirley and Kenny Pierce, and Stephanie and Erik McCleese, all of Olive Hill. He also leaves many other family member and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Johnny Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016, and until the service hour on Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, 41164.
Tommy Enix, Dale Enix, Brent Rayburn, Vernon Kilgore, Jimmie Stacy, Austin Kilgore, Caleb Kilgore, and Kenny Pierce will serve as pallbearers.
