Vicie's Story

Vicie Jearleen Boggs Romans, 74, of Kenova WV passed away peacefully, Saturday Oct., 15, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Vicie was born May 27, 1942 in Olive Hill, a daughter of the late Thurman and Bessie Bear Boggs. Including her parents Vicie was preceded in death by a son, Danny Phil Romans; a granddaughter, Bambi WalTasha Romans; 7 Brothers; and 2 Sisters and a son in-law Jeff Jarvis.

Vicie attended Grace Bible Church, was a loving mother and grandmother, loved to sew, work word search puzzles, spending time in her garden with her beautiful flowers, and enjoyed reading.

Vicie is survived by her loving children, Barbara Jarvis, Scott (Dianne) Romans, Russell Jr. (Cindy) Romans, Sherry(Rick) Dean, Terry (Margaret) Romans, Billy(Martha Asher) Romans, and Tammy (Kenny Robertson) Hayes; 15 Grandchildren, Craig and Darren Lucas, Derrick Ison, PFC Danielle Romans, James Dean, Eric and Tommy Jarvis, Christy, Todd and Heather Romans, Scotty and Rodney Romans, Christopher Holbrook, Brian and Phil Romans; 10 great-grandchildren; and Dewayne Romans who she raised as her own son.


Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with George Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Craig Lucas, Darren Lucas, Scotty Romans, Rodney Romans, James Dean, Todd Romans, Brian Romans, and Eric Jarvis. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tommy Jarvis, Chris Holbrook, Phil Romans, Derrick Ison, Dewayne Romans, Rick Dean and Kenny Robertson.
