Mr. Tyler Heath "Tater" Barker, age 25, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday afternoon, Jan. 5, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Jan. 22, 1991, in Rowan County, a son of Clinton and Michelle Carroll Barker of Olive Hill.
Tater was of the Freewill Baptist faith and worked at Nestle in Mt. Sterling. He loved working and spending time with his nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cecil and Nancy Barker, and his maternal grandparents, Donald and Lorraine Carroll.
In addition to his parents, Tater is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Travis Ray Barker and Shannon of Olive Hill; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kelly Bond and Josh, and Amanda Humphries and Todd, all of Olive Hill; and several nieces and nephews, Hannah Humphries, Ean Humphries, Nevaeh Bond, Taylor Bond, Alexis Bond and Raelynn Barker. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Chris Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Roar Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, and until the service hour on Tuesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Travis Barker, Josh Bond, Todd Humphries, DJ Carroll, Harold Barker, and Michael Moiser will serve as pallbearers. Danny Barker, Shane Stone, and Steve Carroll will serve as honorary pallbearers.
