Mr. Thurman Ray Puggy Conn, age 57, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday evening, August 17, 2017, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born January 26, 1960, in Carter County, a son of the late Golden L. and Agnes V. Evans Conn.
Puggy attended the Henderson Branch Christian Holiness Church and worked as a Ironworker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Jane Conn Middleton and one nephew, Roy Daniel Roe.
Puggy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Janet Lee Gee Conn; three sons, Gregory Lawrence Conn of Ashland, Brandon Lee Conn and Nathaniel Ray Conn both of Olive Hill; one grandchild, Isabella Lee Conn of Carlisle, Ohio; five brothers, Golden Conn Jr. (Maxine) of Olive Hill, Joe L. Conn (Barb) of Olive Hill, Billy E. Conn (Kathy) of Mansfield, Ohio, Johnny D. Conn (Kathy) of Olive Hill, and Ernie L. Conn (Debbie) of Olive Hill; two sisters, Amanda L. Roe and Verlina Greenhill (Roger) all of Olive Hill. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Roger Greenhill and Brother Jason Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Conn Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2017, and after 9 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Gregory Conn, Danny Joe Middleton, Nathaniel Conn, Jerry Middleton, Chris Conn and Harold Gene Middleton served as pallbearers.
