Mr. Thomas Gene "Tommy" Rodgers Jr., age 55, of Clay City, formerly of Olive Hill, was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 27, 2016, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born March 3, 1961, in Louisville, a son of Thomas Rodgers Sr. and the late Mary Ruth Kustus Rodgers.
Tommy worked as an Electrician until his retirement and was a beloved brother and son. He was an active member of church and an avid outdoors man, who enjoyed going to the shooting range and playing golf.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Rodgers.
In addition to his father, Tommy is survived by one son, Tommy Gene Landers of Brandon, Florida; one brother, William J. Rodgers of Olive Hill; one sister, Debbie Pack of Edgerton, Missouri; three nephews, William M. Rodgers of Olive Hill, Allan Easton and Alex Easton, both of Edgerton, Missouri; one niece, Jordain Pack. He also leaves many other family members, friends, and church members who will sadly miss him.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at the Tabor Cemetery in Olive Hill, with Brother Terry Dean officiating.
