Syble Morris, 75, of Grayson, passed away Friday Feb. 3, 2017 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. She was born June 17, 1941 in Grayson; a daughter of the late Hughie and Rosie Oney McDavid.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Wayne McDavid and Gene McDavid.
She was a graduate of Prichard High School and Ashland Community College where she received her nursing degree. She was employed at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital as a registered nurse for 23 years. She attended the Mt. Olive United Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Chad Morris of Grayson; a daughter, Crista (Scott) Jarvis of Ashland; two brothers, David McDavid and Chet McDavid both of Grayson; two sisters, Mary Parsons of Grayson and Barbara Burgess of Tampa. FL; six grandchildren, Devan Rae Bays, Zachary Morris, Clayton Morris, Tanner Barker, Bailey Morris, and Aiden Jarvis, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at 2:00p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home, burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 8 from noon until 2:00p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home.
