Mrs. Susan Jane "Susie" Seagraves Baier, age 91, of Grayson, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 31, 1925, in Greenup County, a daughter of the late Charles and Naomi Stone Seagraves.
Susie was a member of Rockwall United Baptist Church for 36 years. She retired from Giovanni's Pizza in Grayson, in 1994 at the age of 69. Susie was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, James Howard Baier; one daughter, Saundra Kay Baier; two sons, Charles Baier and Ronnie Baier; two sons-in-law, William Hall and Jack Young; one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Branham Baier; two sisters, Rebecca Seagraves Freye and Dolly Seagraves Stidham; and one brother, Leonard Seagraves.
Susie is survived by three sons, James "Bud" Baier (Ruthann) of Greenup, Louie Baier and Pierce Baier, both of Grayson; four daughters, Carolyn Gayle Baier Sparks (Ed) of Grayson, Patricia "Patty" Baier Smith (John) of Greenup, Evelyn Baier Hall (Mick Grills) of Olive Hill, and Krista Baier Young of Grayson; 32 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 19 great-great grandchildren; two special friends of the family, Bo and Carol Mayo and a host of family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at Grayson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Grayson, with Elder David Barker, Elder Clayton Oliver, Elder AJ Williamson, and Elder Samuel Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Edision Cemetery in Grayson.
Friends visited from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, and after 9 a.m. on Monday at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 49 McCoy Road, Grayson, Kentucky 41143.
Brothers in the church will serve as pallbearers.
