Sara Alice James Foster, 81 of Grayson went to be with her Lord on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Hospice Care Center in Ashland. She was born April 20, 1936 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late William Henry and Leah Taylor Tabor. She retired from the Case Sewing Factory, was a member of the Grayson Freewill Baptist Church for over 20 years. Alice loved to garden, tend to her flowers and cooking. She was preceded in death by her first husband Watt Dean James and her second husband Dock Morgan Foster. She is survived by three daughters, Joy (Willard) Barnes of Grayson, Kim (Tim) Adkins and Lisa (L.D.) Middleton both of Olive Hill KY; three sisters, Dorothy (Tom) Isbell of Crestwood KY, Helen (Jerry) Renfrow of LaGrange KY and Janice (Dwayne) Whitt of Ashland KY; one brother, Bill (Judy) Tabor of Frankfort KY; two grandchildren, Zachary Middleton (Justin) and Chelsey Mayo (John Michael); two great-grandchildren, Lilly Mayo and Bennett Nubby-Middleton.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 22 at the Grayson Freewill Baptist Church by Jim Varney and Rob Baier, ministers. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 am till service time Tuesday at Grayson Freewill Baptist Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to: Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101.
