Samuel's Story

Mr. Samuel Matthew Sambo Kitchen, age 54, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday afternoon, June 2, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.

He was born July 8, 1962, in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Kenneth and Kathleen Smith Kitchen.

Sambo worked as a carpenter and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Marie Kitchen Crank.

Sambo is survived by two sons, Justin Lewis (Amanda) of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Kendall Lewis (Amelia) of Grayson, Kentucky; one daughter, Samantha Lewis of Olive Hill, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Kitchen of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and two sisters, Mary Kitchen and Donna Middleton (Chris) all of Olive Hill, Kentucky. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at the Ash Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother David Rayburn officiating.

Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Friday, June 9, 2017, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home, 145 Gearhart Street, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.

Chris Middleton, Christopher Middleton, Josh Masko, Darrell Stone, Jeremy Henderson, and Pete Tomlin will serve as pallbearers.
