Mr. Rubert Howard Fannin Jr., age 63, of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday evening, September 30, 2017, at his residence.
He was born June 7, 1954 in Carter County, a son of Naomi Stallard Fannin of Washington Court House, Ohio, and the late Rubert Howard Fannin Sr.
Howard was of the Christian faith and worked until his retirement at CSX Railroad. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #629 and enjoyed fishing, raising a garden and spending time with his family.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Vicki Lynn Kilgore Fannin and one brother, Calvin Douglas Fannin.
In addition to his mother, Howard is survived by one son, Jordan Fannin of Olive Hill, and one daughter, Lacy Fannin of Olive Hill. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Clyde Holbrook officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Cemetery in Elliott County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
