Roy Alton Glover, 73, of Grayson passed away Saturday Oct. 15, 2016 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. He was born April 24, 1943 in Carter County, a son of the late Tom Allen and Delma Henson Glover. Including his parents Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife in 2013, Doris Ann Duncan Glover; three brothers, Jessie Lee Glover, Chalmer Glover, Wylie Harrison Glover; and a sister, Betty Jean Tobin.
Roy worked as a production associate for the Ford Motor Company in Michigan and later retired from Kentucky Electric Steel after45 years of service. Roy was a meat cutter having learned his trade in Toledo, Ohio and worked for many local shops. Roy enjoyed being outdoors, and had a love for animals, especially his cat and horse.
Roy is survived by a son, Jeff (Cassandra) Glover of Olive Hill; four grandchildren, Darren, Travis, Garth and Shelby Glover; four sisters, Ina Mae Suttles of Ohio, Louise (Bill) Griffith of Olive Hill, Bonnie (James) Wilburn of Grayson, and Margaret (Frank) Cardy of Maryland; and a brother, Bill (Debbie) Glover of Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bobby Day and Chris Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Condolences can be made to the Glover family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
