Mr. Roy Keith Biggs, age 60, of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday morning, Oct. 15, 2016, in Olive Hill.
He was born July 3, 1956, in Carter County, a son of the late Roy Landin and Nora Howerton Biggs.
Roy Keith was of the Baptist faith and worked in Construction for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and having family gatherings for dinner.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Lee Scaggs of Olive Hill; three grandchildren, Michael Scaggs, Eric Scaggs, and Anthony Keith Scaggs, all of Olive Hill; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Brent and Debra Biggs, Ronald and Linda Clark, and Daniel and Libby Clark, all of Olive Hill; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lenora and John Ingles, Brenda and Randy Moore, all of Olive Hill, and Penny and Mike Burton of Carter City; his stepmother, Velda Biggs of Olive Hill; two special uncles, Wayne and Mary Biggs and Bert Williams, all of Olive Hill; a special companion that meant a lot to him, Leona Barker of Olive Hill; and the mother of his daughter, Sheila Stevens of Olive Hill. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Gary Madden officiating. Burial will follow in the Biggs-Scaggs Family Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, and until the service hour on Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
L.A. Biggs, Duane Biggs, Brent Biggs, Lee Scaggs, Michael Scaggs, and Ronald Clark will serve as pallbearers. Eric Scaggs, Anthony Scaggs, Daniel Clark, Mitchell Howerton and Rodney Biggs will serve as honorary pallbearers.
