Roscoe's Story

Mr. Roscoe "R.C." Seagraves, age 79, of Olive Hill, passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 27, 2016, at his residence in the care of his family.
He was born March 7, 1937, in Carter County, a son of the late Noah and Ethel Mullins Seagraves.
R.C. was of the Old Regular Baptist faith and worked as a truck driver. He loved working on his farm, raising horses, and riding his tractor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Seagraves and Jacob C. "J.C" Seagraves, and two sisters, Hattie Elizabeth Seagraves and Hildreth Anna Seagraves.
R.C. is survived by two sons, Darrell Roscoe Seagraves and Jackie Allen Seagraves, both of Olive Hill; four grandchildren; and three brothers and one sister-in-law, Bob Seagraves and Curtis and Georgia Seagraves, all of Olive Hill, and Bennie Seagraves of Richmond. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Randy Seagraves and Elder Gary Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the McFarren Cemetery on Three Pine Road in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, and until the service hour on Friday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
