Roger's Story

Mr. Roger Willis Jordan, age 74, of Olive Hill, passed away Tuesday morning, May 9, 2017, at his residence.

He was born June 10, 1942, in Carter County, a son of the late Clyde and Effie Humphries Jordan.

Roger enjoyed listening to country music, dancing, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, John A. Jordan, Luther Jordan, Clyde Elroy Jordan, Bobby Gene Jordan, and Charles Dean Jordan.

Roger is survived by three sisters and one brother-in-law, Fay Kitchen, Raye McGlone, and Myrtie and Raymond Cline, all of Olive Hill. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Bethel Cemetery in Olive Hill, with Brother Larry Harris and Brother Nathan Eldridge officiating.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.

Kent Cline, Brent Cline, Kody Cline, Danny McGlone, Terry Stafford, and Donovan Pigg will serve as pallbearers. Virgil "Birdie" Stamper and John Jordan Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
