Mr. Rodney Alan Bromwell, age 51, of Olive Hill, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 25, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
He was born July 23, 1965, in Cincinnati, Ohio, a son of Hazel Burton Bromwell of Olive Hill, and the late Leslie Bromwell.
Rodney was of the Christian faith and worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed riding horses, working out in his building, and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 34 years, Darla Hicks Bromwell; one son, Ryan Bromwell (Brittany Mabry) of Grahn; two grandchildren, Ryder Bo Bo Bromwell and Mazie Bromwell, both of Grahn; one brother, Patrick Pat Bromwell of Menifee County; four sisters, Lisa Richardson (Brad) of Morehead, Pamela Pennington (Randy) of Grayson, Marsha Jordan of Wagener, South Carolina, and Cathy Jones (Daniel) of Olive Hill; and a very special girl, Raychel Stevens of Olive Hill. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother J.C. Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017, and after 9 a.m. Friday at Globe Funeral Chapel.
Jesse Oney, Rodney Ingles, David Ingles, Farron Ray Johnston, Ryan Bromwell, Daniel Jones, and Ronnie Beamon will serve as pallbearers. Ryder Bo Bo Bromwell, Ed Messer, Gayle Pollock, Richard Burton, Scott Bromwell, Pat Bromwell, Jerry Beamon, Mitchell Burton, Gary Bonzi Bond, Jeff Wells and all of his horse riding buddies will serve as honorary pallbearers.
