Rita's Story

Ms. Rita Jane Brown, age 63, of Olive Hill, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 13, 2016, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 9, 1953, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Willis and Helen Conley Brown.
Rita was a homemaker and she enjoyed watching game shows and soap operas, playing board games with her family, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Luther "Buckeye" Brown, Donald Ray Brown, Randy Philmen Brown, and Roger Lee Brown, and two sisters, Joyce Ann Webb and Judy Parks.
Rita is survived by her companion of 29 years, Steve Carius; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Maria Littleton of Olive Hill; three daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Littleton and her companion, Anthony Stockdale of Mount Sterling, Brittney and Brandon Curtis of Morehead, and Stephanie Carius of Olive Hill; nine grandchildren; and three sisters and one brother-in-law, Janet P'Simer of Olive Hill, Tammy Brown and Sheila and James Lewis, all of Morehead. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home with Brother David Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memorial Park in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, and until the service hour on Thursday at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home, 145 Gearhart Street, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
