Raymond Douglas Tilsley, 57, of Grayson went to be with his Lord Tuesday Sept. 6, 2016 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. Doug was born Oct. 12, 1958 in Grayson, a son of the late William Howard and Beulah Kiser Tilsley. Including his parents Doug was preceded in death by two brothers, Autrey Tilsley and William Earl Tilsley; and a sister, Joy Johnson.
Doug was a 21 year Veteran of the Kentucky National Guard 201st Engineering Battalion; worked for over 28 years with Cintas as a Maintenance Engineer, an avid UK sports fan, of the Christian Faith enjoyed listening to Free Will Baptist on the Radio. Doug loved telling stories making people laugh and smile. Doug was a true outdoorsman, loved woodworking, storytelling and spoiling his family.
Doug is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Margaret Elliott Tilsley; two daughters, Annie Adams and Alisha Kay Tilsley both of Grayson; three brothers, Fred (Margaret) Tilsley of Berea, Howard Bruce (Francis) Tilsley of Olive Hill, and Jim (Joyce) Tilsley of Greenup; and was blessed with many friends, co-workers, nieces, nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 11am Saturday Sept. 10, 2016 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with his brothers Fred and Jim Tilsley officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery.
