Pruda Gammon, 96, of Brandenburg, formerly of Grayson died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 21, 1920 in Morehead; a daughter of the late John and Ida McBrayer Caudill. She was of the Baptist faith; she received her teaching degree from Morehead State University and a Master's Degree from Murray State University. She was a retired teacher in Carter City and was one of the first County Agents to teach home economics in Carter County. She was a member of the KEA/NEA, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, he is preceded in death by her husbands, Sam Prather, Chester Gray, and Shirley Thomas Gammon; a sister, Nell Cornwell.
She is survived by two daughters, Ida Prather of Brandenburg, and Rebecca Prather, a missionary/teacher in Indonesia; two grandchildren, Sarah Rebecca Prather and Jeremiah Prather.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grayson Memorial Park, Paul Schmidt, minister.
