Mr. Phillip Ray Kiser, age 70, of Carter City, passed away Monday morning, August 14, 2017.
He was born October 27, 1946, in Carter County, a son of the late Kermit and Elsie Southerland Kiser.
Phillip was of the Christian faith and worked until his retirement as a mechanist. He enjoyed listening to music of the 50's, working on cars, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived his wife of 35 years, Frances Stallard Kiser; one son, Phillip Mitchell Kiser (Diane) of Olive Hill; one daughter, Stephanie Lynn Kiser Smith (Rich) of Louisville; two stepsons, Micheal Fultz of Carter City, and Scott Fultz (Janet) of Olive Hill; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one sister, Pat Davis of Greenup County. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Chris Bellew officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017, and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Jeff Davis, Chris Reed, Marty Stallard, Aaron Duvall, David Lewis, Christopher Bellew, Richy Stephens, and Anthony Hargett will serve as pallbearers.
