Ora Milton Hatton
Mr. Ora Milton Hatton, age 76, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born February 21, 1943, in Rowan County, a son of the late Jessie Merl and Nancy Susan Stevens Hatton.
Ora was a member and Deacon of the Bairtown Church of God and also served as the Vice President for the conference. He retired from McCorkle Machine Shop and enjoyed going to church, hunting, fishing, old cars and spending time with his family and friends, especially with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Hatton and one sister, Mildred Hatton.
Ora is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audrey Moore Hatton; one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky Allen Hatton and Donna of Huntington, West Virginia; one daughter and son-in-law, Anita Sue Russell and Charles Bruce of Ashland; three grandchildren, Jennifer Ashley Russell Dolen and Tanner, Joshua Ryan Russell and his fiancee, Erin Felty, and Kristy Hatton; two great grandchildren, Ryan Blake Dolen and Braxton Lee Dolen; one brother and sister-in-law, Butch Hatton and Sue of Morehead; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kay Sparks and Harry and Evelyn Bays and Bill, all of Morehead. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Johnny Moore, Brother Elijah Wagoner and Brother Justin Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirby Flats Cemetery in Ashland.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2019, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Jason Wagoner, Jason Bays, Mike Hatton, Bruce Russell, Josh Russell and Tanner Dolen will serve as pallbearers. Braxton Dolen, Keith Webb, Charles Ray Barker and James Blair will serve as honorary pallbearers.
