Mrs. Olive Loretta Conn Tackett, age 82, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 7, 2017, at her residence.
She was born March 4, 1935, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Claude and Lola Adkins Conn.
Olive was retired from Commercial Bank as a custodian and loved playing bingo, crocheting, watching Christian music videos, and cooking for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Orville Glen Tackett; two infant daughters, Melissa Tackett and Donna Tackett; two brothers, Roy Conn and Ronald Conn; and one sister, Doris Wilburn.
Olive is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Peggy Tackett of Columbus, Ohio, and Stan and Janet Tackett of Maddison, Ohio; two grandchildren, Stacie and Tim Shifflet of Columbus, Ohio, and Eric McPherson Tackett of Madison, Ohio; two great grandchildren, Taylor Shifflet and Kaitlyn Shifflet of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, James Conn of Olive Hill; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Bessie and Jack Colley, Karen and Lonnie Tackett, and Gloria Oney, all of Olive Hill; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Austin Carter and Brother Dale Richmond officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Bethel Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the funeral home.
