Mrs. Nellie Jean Conley Patrick, age 77, of Owingsville, passed away Wednesday morning, November 15, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born June 28, 1940, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Luther and Nancy Jane Sparks Conley.
Nellie was a member of the New Life Fellowship Church. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 13 years, Columbus Patrick; one brother, Roy Conley; four sisters, Opal Conley, Helen Brown, Dorothy Sue Newell, and Della Mae Lewis; three great grandchildren, Mia Addison Roberts, Kaida Kylelynn Patrick, and Rylan Harper Holder.
Nellie is survived by five daughters, Nancy Mae Patrick, Kathy Lynn Brown (David), and Sarah Alice Stone (David), all of Salt Lick, Teresa Ann Patrick of Owingsville, and Lisa Ann Patrick Ezell of Morehead; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Ina Bowling of Anderson, Indiana, and Alice Hamm of Soldier; and her companion, Roy Sparks. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Jamie Moose Stump officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2017, and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
David Stone, Kenny Patrick, Devin Patrick, Roman Patrick, Ian Roberts, Jason Holder, and Jesse Ogden will serve as pallbearers.
