Mr. Michael Glen "Mick" Greenhill, age 69, of Olive Hill, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday morning, Jan. 14, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born Aug. 24, 1947, in Carter County, a son of the late Glen and Jean Fultz Greenhill.
Mick was a faithful member of the Three Pine Freewill Baptist Church in Olive Hill. He enjoyed being outdoors, deer hunting, and watching NASCAR and UK basketball with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeff Greenhill, and Jerry Joe Greenhill.
Mick is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Dee Biggs Greenhill; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jeanne Greenhill of Olive Hill, one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Tony Sparks of Olive Hill; seven grandchildren, Hannah MaRae Sparks, Hallie DeNae Sparks, Jozi Beth Greenhill, Michael Luke Greenhill, Graci Karas Greenhill, Haven DeLaney Sparks, and Hayla Jade Sparks; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Iva Dee Greenhill of Pikeville, and Chris and Madonna Greenhill of Georgetown. He also leaves many family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Delmar Logan Jr. and Pastor Gary Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, and until the service hour on Tuesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60 Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Mike Walker, Kenny Binion, Roger Layne, Talmadge Porter, Tony Sparks and Roger Bailey will serve as pallbearers. Leroy Rayburn and Jim Barker will serve as a honorary pallbearers.
