Mary's Story

Mary Tom Crum, 93, of Grayson died Dec. 26, 2016 at her residence. She was born April 15, 1923 in Grayson, a daughter of the late Roy Haven and Pearl Everman Harris.
Affectionately known as "Granny Tom" by family and friends, she was a housewife , mother and helped manage the family farm, and in later years she became a nursing assistant. She was a member of the Lower Grassy Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Mat Crum; a daughter, Wanda June Crum; four brothers, David, Russell, Clarence and Jack Harris; a sister, Fern Harris.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie (Epp David) Kiser of Grayson; two sons, Donnie (Helen) Crum of Grayson, and James (Darry) Crum of Huntington, WV; nine grandchildren, Lauren (Becky) Crum, Jenny (Claude) Duncan, Shelley (Casey) Brammell, Darren (Sibel )Crum, Erika (Eddie) Morrison,Denise (Kevin) Ramey, Mark (Melissa) Kiser, Leigh Anna (Anthony) Carper, and Neal (Bonnie) Kiser; nineteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at 1:00 p. m. at the Lower Grassy Church of Christ, Roger McGlone, elder of the church, burial will follow at the Everman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lauren Crum, Neal Kiser, Mark Kiser, Casey Brammell, Kevin Ramey, and Anthony Carper.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 , from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson and an hour before the service at the church.
