Mrs. Maggie Tabor Riedel Gurule, age 90, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the Woodmark Care Center in Sun City, Arizona.
She was born March 19, 1927, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Russell and Mary Dailey Tabor.
Maggie was of the Baptist faith and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, working in her flowers and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Norman Riedel; one son, Russell Johnson Riedel; one step son, Henry Gurule; two brothers, Lave Tabor and Wylie Tabor; and one sister, Maymie Browning.
Maggie is survived by her husband, Joe Gurule; one step daughter, Susan Hansen, and her husband, Harlan of Sun City, Arizona; one step daughter-in-law, Pamela Gurule; one daughter-in-law, Gina Johnson of California; two sisters, Joanne and Billy Stamper and Betty and James Littleton of Mansfield, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Juanita Tabor of Mansfield, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Josh Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the Tabor Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
