Mr. Larry Joe "Mo" Hampton, age 50, of Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born Jan. 21, 1967, in Joliet, Illinois, a son of the late Clyde and Mildred Joy Fultz Hampton.
Larry loved working, hanging out with his brothers, working on cars, riding horses and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Fultz and Robert Hampton, and his father-in-law, Russell Wolf.
Larry is survived by his wife of 17 years, Tammy Wolf Hampton; one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Kayla Carver Hampton of Vanceburg; one daughter, Heather Hampton of Olive Hill; six grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Clyde Douglas Hampton of Olive Hill, and Danny Ray and Paula Hampton of Vanceburg; five nephews; five nieces; and his mother-in-law, Christine Wolf. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017, with Brother Danny Buckner and Brother Greg Owens officiating. Friends may visit from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017, at the residence of Danny and Paula Hampton, 303 Banjo Lane, Tar Fork Road, Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179. Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery in Emerson, Kentucky.
