Mr. Kevin Skaggs, age 58, of Grayson, passed away Wednesday morning, August 9, 2017, peacefully at his home with his family beside him.
He was born May 5, 1959, in Orlando, Florida, a son of the late Eugene and Shelby Skaggs.
Kevin was an esteemed artist in oil painting and had won several awards for his talents. He worked as an assistant manager at Speedway in Grayson, for over 20 years before caring for others at Boyd Nursing Home as a Medication Technician. As a passionate caregiver, Kevin brought blessings and hope to many patients, family, and friends.
He leaves behind his long time partner and friend, Daniel Littleton of Grayson; two sisters, Linda Lewis of Carter City, and Sheila Ball of Kenova, West Virginia; two nieces, Amanda Arts and Angela Williams; three great nieces, Kaylee Hall, MaKenzie Hall, and Ava Williams; and one great nephew, Kaden Williams. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Grayson, with Reverend Sandra Murphree officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter Memory Gardens in Grayson.
Visitation iss from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Adam Ross, Travis Fauber, Loren Horde, J.D. Williams, Cindy Littleton, and Jeremiah Littleton will serve as pallbearers.
