Mrs. Kattie Faye Coburn Powers, age 77, of Grayson, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 23, 2017 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
She was born August 11, 1940, in Boyd County, a daughter of the late Leonard and Verna Gilliam Coburn.
Kattie was of the Christian faith and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Erwin Sallie and James Sallie; four brothers, Silas Coburn, Earvan Coburn, Larry Coburn and Paul Coburn; and two sisters, Lucy Mae Robinson and Mary Williams.
Kattie is survived by her husband, Stephen Powers; one son Kelly S. Sallie of Grayson; two daughters-in-law, Christine Sallie and Evelyn Sallie both of Grayson; three grandchildren, April Dawn Seagraves, Adam Parsons and Derrick Sallie; two brothers, Arnold Coburn (Wilma) and Jim Coburn (Emma) all of Ashland; and five sisters, Linda Tussey (Bob) of Grayson, Karen Rogers (Eddie) of Ashland, Jeanne Hensley (Kenneth) of Tennessee, Donnie Isaacs (Cliff) and Minnie Carter all of Grayson. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Visitation was from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Grayson.
At the request of the family there was no funeral service.
