Mrs. Karen Jewell Hall Moore, age 73, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday evening, December 26, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was born October 28, 1944, Carter County, a daughter of the late Cecil and June Fultz Hall.
Karen was of the Baptist faith and she retired from King's Daughters Medical Center as a phlebotomist. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Lloyd Moore, and one sister, Rhoda Miller.
Karen is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David Moore and Terry of Lexington; two daughters and a son-in-law, Dana King of Apopka, Florida, and Melissa Wilson and Joel of Ashland; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral service w will be held at 12 noon Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Grayson, with Brother Mike Rice officiating. Entombment will follow in the East Carter Memory Gardens in Grayson.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
