Julia Bradford Nunley
Julia Nunley, 77, of Rush passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at her residence. She was born March 12, 1942 in Scioto County, Ohio a daughter of the late Glen and Virginia Williams Bradford.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Nunley and her best friend, Artha Lee McCarty.
Julia was a graduate of Boyd County High School and was retired as a nurse's aide with King's Daughters Home Health; she worked with the Red Cross, and had played piano for many area churches and was of the Church of God faith.
She is survived by four sons, Sheldon (Ruth) Jenkins of Rush, Eric (Kelly) Nunley of Grayson, Michael (Marie) Nunley of Hitchins, and Jeff (Mary) Nunley of Olive Hill; three daughters, Lisa (George) Groves of Catlettsburg, Regina (Jim Burton) Shepherd of Grayson, and Jami (Rick) Sexton of Willard; a twin sister, Judy (David) Jarvis of Boyd County; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Warden of Springfield, OH; a brother-in-law, Philip Nunley of Rush; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, October, 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home, Clell Lucas, minister. Burial will follow at the Cribbs Hill Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
