Mr. Joseph "Dale" Fannin, age, 63, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday morning, June 13, 2017, at his residence.
He was born August 26, 1953, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Carlos and Tina Humphries Fannin.
Dale was of the Christian faith, and had retired from Woodford Oil after 41 years as a truck driver. He enjoyed watching westerns and being with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Karen "Poochie" Bond Fannin, one brother, Eugene Fannin, and one sister, Geneva McGlone.
Dale is survived by two daughters, Amanda Kaye Fannin and Melissa Dawn Fannin Conn (Bryan Allen) all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one brother, Carl Fannin (Rose Mary) of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one sister, Evelyn James (Phil) of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and two sisters-in-law, Sue Underwood and Cozetta Bond both of Olive Hill, Kentucky. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother John Lands officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery on Route 2 in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017, and after 9 a.m. Saturday, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
