Mr. John Robert "Bob" Mosier, age 70, of Clay City, formerly of Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at his residence.
He was born December 28, 1946, in Carter County, a son of the late Kale and Pinie Binion Mosier.
Bob was of the Baptist faith and worked until his retirement at the University of Kentucky College. He loved working on small engines and being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers, Ray Mosier, Perry "Buster" Mosier, Tom Mosier, Elwood Mosier, Haskell Mosier, Bill Mosier, Kale Mosier Jr. and George Mosier, and four sisters, May Lambert, Meddie Mosier, Oma Mauk, and Ruby Bailey.
Bob is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dianna Stevens Mosier; three sons, Kirby McKenny of Frankfort, Robert Jackson Mosier and John Jason Mosier (Kayla Booth), all of Clay City; three daughters, Sherry Rowlett (Marty) and Cheryl Weikel, all of Mansfield, Ohio, and Lizebeth Mosier (Kevin Duty) of Stanton; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Ephriam Mosier (Pam) of Madison, Alabama; and four sisters, Martha Owens, Goldie Owens, and Edith Holmes, all of Mansfield, Ohio, and Ethel Davis of Frederickson, Ohio. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Louie Harris officiating. Burial followed in the Bledsoe-Mosier Cemetery on Patchwork Lane in Olive Hill.
Visitation was from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017, at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
