Chief Joe SanAgustin, USN retired, 83 of Olive Hill formerly of Victorville, CA died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016 at his residence. He was born Nov. 17, 1932 in Agana, Guam a son of the late Jose E. and Caridad Rosario SanAgustin.
Joe proudly served his country for 30 years in the United States Navy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He had just recently moved from Victorville, CA to Olive Hill, to his dream home.
He is survived by his loving wife, Katsuko "Connie" SanAgustin, two daughters; Dianna (Chris) Milton of Arkansas, and Helen (Ron) Lewis of Olive Hill, a son, Devin (Cathy) Martin of Quartz Hill, CA, four grandchildren; Adrian Martin, Walter (Jerahka) Nowocin, Aubrey (Doug) Horgan, and Cody (Jackie) Martin and two great grandchildren; Devin Nowocin and Lily Martin. Joe will be missed by everyone he has touched in his life.
Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. Visitation will be an hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Kenova American Legion Post 93.
