Mr. Jerry Lee Skaggs, age 47, of Irvine, formerly of Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born July 16, 1969, in Lawrence County, a son of the late Earl and Maxine Keaton Skaggs.
Jerry was of the Christian faith and he enjoyed being outdoors, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Skaggs, Daniel Skaggs, and Bill Skaggs, and one sister, Rosemary Leadingham.
Jerry is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Anna Skaggs of Grayson, David and Maggie Skaggs of Greenup, and Timothy and Treasa Skaggs of Olive Hill, and seven sisters and six brothers-in-law, Joyce Blevins of Morehead, Dora and James Issacs and Dorothy and Wayne Hudson, all of Indiana, Frieda and Russell Pelfrey and Diana and Carl Cole, all of Olive Hill, Vicie and Barry Bledsoe of Grayson, and Esta and Brian Pistole of Ohio. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the Skaggs Cemetery in Lawrence County, Kentucky, with Brother John Rigsby officiating.
Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
