Mr. James Thomas Middleton, age 70, of Watkins, Colorado, formerly of Olive Hill, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at Denver Hospice Center in Aurora, Colorado.
He was born Feb. 12, 1946, in Elliott County, a son of the late James and Eveline Carpenter Middleton.
James was of the Church of God faith and he enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, hunting, and spending time with family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Middleton; four brothers, Marshall Lee Middleton, Walter Burl Middleton, William Edgar Middleton, and Dallas Click; and four sisters, Thelma Poling, Clystia Kitchen, Sarah Jane Kegley and Gracie Boggs.
James is survived by two sons, James Middleton and David Middleton, both of Michigan, five grandchildren; one brother, Stanley Middleton of Olive Hill; and three sisters, Mary Ruth Reynolds of Watkins, Colorado, Molly Marie Saddler of Salem, Ohio, and Loretta Newlon of Mansfield, Ohio. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were held at 12 noon Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Austin Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Limestone Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends visited from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
