Mrs. Iva Nanita McGlone Back, age, 85, of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 9, 1931, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Edd McGlone and Beulah Payne McGlone.
Iva was a member of the Little Mary Old Regular Baptist Church and was a retired factory worker and lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed going to church, visiting with her church family after church services, gardening, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Iva was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth Back; two brothers, Edward McGlone and John "Jeppy" McGlone; one sister, Joyce Scott; one granddaughter, Kelli Back; and one son-in-law, Jesse Binion.
She is survived by one son, Daryl Back (Trish Conn) of Olive Hill; two daughters and one son-in-law, Debbie and Greg DeHart and Brenda Binion all of Olive Hill; three grandchildren, Jessica Binion, Amy and Wayne Russell, Christi and Nick Padden; two great grandchildren, Gabriel Russell and Hudson Padden; one sister, Earlene Gillispie; and a special friend and caregiver, Joann Jordan. She also leaves many other family members, neighbors and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Elder Gary Blevins and Elder Jeff Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends visited from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, and until the service hour on Tuesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
John Harper, Mark Back, Brandon Fosson, Joe Gillispie, B.J. Garvin and Gary Gillispie will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Little Mary Old Regular Baptist Church, Rt. 5, Ashland, Kentucky 41102.
