Howard Milton Burris
Mr. Howard Milton Burris, age 72, of Olive Hill, passed away Friday evening, November 15, 2019, at his granddaughter's residence in Louisville.
He was born January 8, 1947, in Carter County, a son of the late Jefferson Burris and Ithel McGlone Fannin.
Howard was a member of the Gregoryville Christian Holiness Church and was a member of the Greenup Masonic Lodge and the El Hasa Shriners. He was employed at the Cowdan's Sewing Factory for several years. Howard loved traveling, camping, fishing, farming, going to auctions and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one half-brother, Frank Fannin.
Howard is survived by two daughters, Angela Burris of Orleans, Indiana, and Maneeka Ray of Nicholasville; three grandchildren, Jennifer and David Brown of Florence, Kayla and Allyson Clark of Louisville, and Harrison Ray of Nicholasville; and five great grandchildren, Jagger, Callie, Brentlee, Ryan, and Harmony. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Jr. Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2019, and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
