Harvey Allen Kiser, 72, of Olive Hill entered into rest Wednesday evening, June 15, 2016 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead surrounded by his family. He was born April 29, 1944 in Carter City, a son of the late Harvey and Anna Fultz Kiser.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law Charlotte Kiser Rodgers and Jack Rodgers; Father and Mother-In-Law Hubert and Charlotte Lowe Cecil, brothers-in-law, J.L. Cecil, William "Buster" Hall and Richard Patterson
After graduating from Carter City High School in 1962, Harvey Allen proudly served in the United States Navy from 1962-1966. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Olive Hill where he served as Deacon. He also was a member and past president of the Carter County Camp of The Gideons International where he also served in many other capacities. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his horses, mornings with the McDonald's Coffee Club, researching family genealogy and visiting ancestral burial sites. He retired from Marathon/Ashland Petroleum after 40 years of service, spending most of the time as a River Boat Captain on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.
He is survived by the love of his life, Jenny Cecil Kiser; two sons, Kylend Hollie Kiser and his wife Ameila of Glasgow and Kristin Kody Kiser of Lexington; two grandchildren Olivia Baye Kiser and Stratton Riley Kiser both of Glasgow; two sisters, Wilma Jean Hall of Olive Hill and Gloria Bevilacqua and her husband Allen of Grayson; three brothers, Wayne Kiser and his wife Margaret, William Titus Kiser and his wife Hope and Phillip Guy Kiser and his wife Connie all of Olive Hill.
In addition to these Harvey is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will sadly miss him.
