Glen E. Daniel
1943 - 2016

Glen E. Daniel, 73, of Grayson, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 at the Veteran Administration Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.
He was born, Aug. 6, 1943 in Louisa, a son of the late Oscar and Emma Alley Daniel.
He was a retired mechanic with McCoy Freight Liner in Huntington. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the AMVETS, VFW, and the American Legion. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
In additions to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Daniel; two sisters, Manda Childers and Polly Ann Marcum.
He is survived by his wife, Oma Branham Daniel; three sons, Glen E. (Heather) Daniel, II of Ashland, James (Leslie) Daniel of Boyd County and Robert (Debbie) Daniel of Rush; a brother, Robert "Bob" (Nancy) Daniel of Rush; a sister, Lucy Sandridge of Larkin, Florida; four grandchildren, Kinnedy, Noah, Ashleigh, and Everly; one great-granddaughter, Sophia.
Committal services will be Monday, Oct. 31, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Greenup County, Col. Tom Ragland, officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Kenova, American Legion, and Post 93. Escort will be provided by the Patriot Guard.
Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
