Everett Vernon Leadingham, 79, of Olive Hill, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 11, 2016 at his residence. He was born Feb. 17, 1937 at Carter County, a son of the late William Everett and Ethel Boggs Leadingham. Everett was retired from the Ky. Department Highways and was a farmer. He was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca Labor; two brothers, Columbus Leadingham and Lee Leadingham; four sisters, Pearline Pennington, Nadine Bowling, Ollie Blankenbecker and Floris Jones; five brothers-in-law, Willie Blankenbecker, Edward Pennington, Willard Bowling, Glen Blankenbecker and Bill Jones. Everett's survivors include: his wife of forty six years, Lillie Mae Gilbert Leadingham of Olive Hill; four sons, Willis Leadingham, , Chris (Joannie) Leadingham, Nick (Connie) Leadingham all of Olive Hill, David (Loretta) Leadingham of Carter City; three daughters, Betty (David) McCleese, Missy Leadingham and Angie (Clay) Madden all of Olive Hill; one sister, Maxine Blankenbecker of Michigan; one brother, Arvin (Ida Belle) Leadingham of Olive Hill; two sisters-in-law, Juanita Leadingham and Wilma Leadingham both of Olive Hill; twenty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with David Bryant, officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday after 9:00 a.m. until service time at Malone Funeral Home.
